We are located just outside of historic Providence, Rhode Island.

Up Country was founded in 1984 by our President, Alice Nichols, a former school-teacher. From six original collar designs, Up Country has grown to become one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality dog and cat accessories in the country. Our company manufactures our ribbon collars, harnesses, and many of our other products in our studio/factory location in East Providence, RI. Each product is hand-sewn by our experienced staff, hand-finished to ensure product quality, pressed and carefully packed for shipping.

   Up Country gives back to the world of pets we love. We provide products to animal shelters so adopted pets and their owners feel extra special. We also sponsor a veterinary clinic display at the Providence Childrens Museum that has become a pilot for many others around the country.
